Chief Marketing Officer/VP Marketing

About this role: 

This role is a Hands-on Chief Marketing Officer responsible for the marketing, growth, brand and communications of Climax Foods product portfolio. You will work closely with the CEO and leadership team to create commercial strategies, forecasts and plans to drive new product launch in the U.S. market. You will help Climax to develop and implement go-to-market plans to drive and scale consumer adoption, engagement and loyalty, and grow revenue.

Responsibilities include:

  • Develop and lead creative, brand and communications strategies to increase Climax Foods’ brand visibility and awareness
  • Build a data-driven consumer insights and research capability to develop a deep understanding of consumer behavior and consumer purchase decision factors to inform, create and optimize marketing programs
  • Define the Climax Foods’ brand story as interpreted by the consumer and develop a program to communicate with consumers and influencers   
  • Develop a comprehensive engagement strategy that involves social, loyalty, and in-store experience and ultimately drives new customer and revenue growth at scale
  • Build a strategic marketing plan with innovative campaigns that are driven by performance and influencer marketing, creative, online & offline efforts, brand & direct marketing, as well as community building
  • Work closely with the product and operations to launch new products into the market and oversee all marketing messaging throughout the partner, operations and customer journey
  • Equip and enable internal teams to effectively and consistently pitch the Climax Foods value proposition to outside vendors and constituents
  • At onset, build a multi-channel marketing capability focused on identifying and recruiting new foodservice operators and retailers to sell Climax Foods products and build a robust channel marketing program to support the sales efforts to include developing point of sale marketing, sampling programs and tasting events
  • Develop & manage the marketing budget for optimization to ensure activities are effective, efficient and deliver successful ROI metrics
  • Manage and grow the marketing and commercial teams
  • Create accountability within the team by developing metrics, OKRs and performance expectations


  • Strong leadership experience with a “roll up the sleeves” and “no job is too small” mindset 
  • 7-10+ yrs experience with proven results as a Marketing Head or a similarly relevant role.  
  • Marketing experience in world-class technology, CPG or foodservice companies, ideally those that have experienced rapid global growth
  • Adept at transitioning seamlessly from a strategic level vision to day-to-day tactical operations required
  • A passion for consumer insight and a proven background launching new products as well as growing existing platforms and portfolios
  • A passion for brand storytelling with a data-driven approach to measurement and processes.  
  • Deep knowledge of data analysis and performance/operation metrics required
  • A proven track record of dramatically increasing brand engagement and generating business growth
  • Deep knowledge of how to use both online & offline channels and tools to build both a brand and a customer base
  • Experience successfully executing integrated marketing campaigns at scale
  • Been accountable for revenue and experience managing to ROI targets by channel and by program
  • Experience enabling third party sales channels (such as distributors) and sales teams to position and sell products at scale
  • Strong team leader with the ability to attract, cultivate and retain top performers
  • Ability to succeed in a fast-paced environment, including quickly and accurately assessing opportunities to determine the best approach
