ClickHouse is looking to hire an experienced Observability Product Manager to join our Product Team and lead initiatives for one of our fastest growing use cases. In this role, you will be instrumental in leading the production of features, reference architectures, and guides for a successful adoption of ClickHouse applied across observability pillars (Logging, Tracing, Metrics, Profiling). 

What you will do:

  • Acquire an extensive comprehension of the SQL-based observability use case powered by ClickHouse. This includes the integrations landscape (OpenTelemetry, Grafana, Kubernetes Fluentd, etc) as well as reference architectures, blueprints, and documented case studies. 
  • Lead the production of features, reference architectures and guides for a successful adoption of ClickHouse applied to the observability pillars (Logging, Tracing, Metrics, Profiling). 
  • Comprehend the requirements of users thoroughly, express them clearly and concisely within ClickHouse, and collaborate with design and engineering teams to convert these needs into well-defined priorities 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to sharpen the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for the positioning of ClickHouse products in the observability space. Conduct market research, gather customer feedback, and analyze industry trends to inform product decisions. 
  • Conduct beta programs involving customers to gather feedback on the features, functionalities, and usability of the product offering. 
  • Navigate the Clickhouse internal observability requirements as well as the external ones and find the synergy paths that exist between them to align priorities accordingly 

What you bring along:

  • Demonstrated 5+ years of involvement as an observability practitioner, leading observability strategies and deployments at scale 
  • Proficiency in customer-facing technical roles such as Technical Product Manager, Technical Consultant, Solution Architect, Pre-sales Consultant, Sales Engineering, or Technical Marketing 
  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in Computer Science or a related technical field 
  • Experience in enterprise SaaS, with preference given to those with a background in monitoring or analytics

Bonus Points:

  • A background in delivering internal observability products at scale
  • Experience working at a startup

Compensation

This role offers cash compensation and a stock options grant. For roles based in the United States, you can find above our typical starting salary ranges for this role, depending on your specific location.
