We’re looking for a VP Brand to join one of the best marketing teams in Fintech.  We might be small, but over the last 5 years we’ve built a unique brand that people love.

For the right person, this is a chance to make an immediate impact, helping set up our localised US marketing team for ongoing success long-term.

What you’ll be doing

Day to day, you’ll be responsible for driving forward the Cleo mission, joining a focused and collaborative team that strives to deliver outstanding marketing and comms execution. 

As a team, our goal is to drive awareness and brand salience through Cleo’s unique proposition, whilst delivering against our mission to fight for the world’s financial health.

What you’ll be doing

  • Guide our positioning project to understand and deliver our brand messaging pillars that work across Cleo the “product” Cleo “the business” and Cleo “the brand” that reflect our unique offering and mission 
  • Support the roll out of our brand messaging pillars across all user and target audience touch-points
  • Support the build-out of our localized US marketing function and work closely with VP Marketing to launch in-market activations that support brand awareness, memorable PR moments and build a loved lifestyle brand
  • Work with the VP Marketing to plan and own budgets related to multiple campaigns
  • Drive brand growth and health, ensuring brand objectives and core messaging are delivered

You’ll have

  • 8 years + experience in  strategic communications or brand consultancy both at an agency and in-house
  • Proven leadership and influencing skills and ability to operate at senior executive level
  • Strong perspective on key digital and media trends in the market landscape
  • Managed and coached teams for 5+ years to support individual learning and development
  • Strong analytical skills with a consistent record of using data to drive business results

Logistics

The application process for this role will consist of a video call with a member of the Talent team, followed by a video call with our VP Marketing (Roxanne Nejad) and a video call with our CEO & Founder (Barney Hussey-Yeo), potentially joined by one of our investors. We'll then ask you to work on a task, to be presented to Roxanne and our Design Manager (Oliver Albury), followed by a conversation with our VP Growth (Chris Hamblin) and a final conversation with Roxanne/Barney, all remotely via Google Meet or Zoom. Depending on availability, we might slightly adjust the process, but will keep you informed throughout!
