As Team Lead of the Data Function in India, you will be responsible for hiring, training, mentoring, and retaining a world class team of data analysts. You will collaborate with teams and leaders throughout the organization residing in India as well as operations centers in the US and UK to ensure Clearwater’s data is accurate and comprehensive and our tools and processes are robust and efficient.  The team’s initial responsibilities will focus heavily on creation of new securities, cleansing reference data through consistency checks, targeted review of questionable data points, and file mapping to external client data across an active security master of 340,000 investments and over 80,000 active accounts.  To effectively lead this team, it is critical to instill a metric driven organization while taking great care to delegate but not abdicate your responsibility to ensuring the success of your constituents.  Clearwater is experiencing explosive growth due to our unrivaled product, software backed approach to scalability, and client centric culture giving you the opportunity to blend your knowledge and experiences with an industry leading organization.  The ideal candidate is innately inspirational, humble, and hard working with a bias to lead from the front rather than manage from afar.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related area of study – Masters or advanced degree preferred
  • 5-7 years experience leading financial servicing, middle office, or back office cross-functional teams of 25+ individuals
  • 3+ years experience working with investments and security reference data
  • Experience and applicable knowledge in SQL or other relational databases
  • Ability to manage and lead people, projects and tasks effectively
  • Experience and knowledge in implementing and using quality frameworks such as Six Sigma
  • Passion, Perseverance, and Accountability with an innate desire to drive client success

Desired Experience and Skills

  • Ability to read and understand at least one programming language (i.e. Python, Java, VBA, R, etc.)
  • Experience with business intelligence solutions
  • Experience in data science and visualization
