Part Time Purchasing and Shipping Assistant

 

ClearMotion is launching groundbreaking new technology. A high bandwidth active suspension system that will revolutionise the automotive industry.  We have a high demand for our product from both suppliers and OEMs.

 

Summary

Due to our recent expansion we are looking for a Purchasing and Shipping Assistant to order supplies and equipment based on the company’s needs, along with the shipping of those supplies to our various locations worldwide. The role reports into the Director of UK Operations.

This is a full-time role. Our offices are located on the MIRA Technology Park therefore your own transport would be essential.

Duties and Responsibilities

 

Purchasing

  • Administrative functions necessary to purchase products
  • Raising purchase orders
  • Assisting in the compliance of the company approval process
  • Research potential suppliers
  • Track orders and ensure timely delivery
  • Update and maintain the internal databases with order details
  • Conduct market research to identify pricing trends
  • Evaluate offers from suppliers and negotiate better prices
  • Negotiate realistic schedules with suppliers in order to meet deadlines
  • Maintain and updated any supplier contracts
  • Follow up communications with suppliers to confirm or change orders.
  • Communicate with suppliers and liaise with colleagues internally on ad hoc projects
  • Assist with supplier and customer meetings

Shipping

  • Administrative functions necessary to ship products internationally
  • Track items and ensure timely delivery
  • Update and maintain internal databases with shipping details
  • Communicating with shipping/freight suppliers and liaise with colleagues internally on deliveries
  • Assist with the packaging of items if required

General

  • Liaise with workshop staff to ensure all products arrive and leave in good condition
  • Assist in the creation cost and budgeting analysis
  • Undertake and other ad hoc duties commensurate with the role as required
  • Project work

Required skills

  • Previous experience in a similar role essential
  • Excellent written and verbal communicator
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • The ability to work autonomously and think on your feet
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Great attention to detail
  • Enthusiastic, with a can-do attitude
