ClearMotion is launching a groundbreaking new technology for the automotive industry – a high bandwidth active suspension system. Our advanced engineering team is working on cutting-edge technology – tackling everything from motion sickness mitigation in autonomous vehicles to road surface classification and more.
We’re looking for a talented software engineer to work on a breakthrough active suspension system for cars. You will be part of the advanced engineering group, focused on improving ride comfort by using data crowdsourced from vehicles with ClearMotion.
You will also be participating in solving challenging problems in a complex intelligent control system that includes hydraulics, electronics, and mechanical components. Our control system also incorporates cloud-based, vision-based, and artificial intelligence technologies.
The successful candidate will be a passionate, confident, organized and driven team player with a heavy interest or previous experience/projects in the automotive industry.
Software Engineer Essential Functions
- Contribute to strategy/algorithm design reviews with team members.
- Data processing and analysis (i.e analyzing and creating models to simulate vehicle behavior).
- Design, build, train and test Machine Learning models (previous experience with reinforcement learning is preferred)
- Write production-level code, converting ML models into working pipelines.
- Conduct extensive field testing on high-end prototype vehicles (mules).
- Experience building and running RESTful web services on cloud platforms.
- Can help lead projects from ideation to execution.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. This position regularly requires long hours and occasional weekend work is expected.
Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-area and possible out-of-country travel will be expected.
