Reporting to the CEO, the SVP of New Verticals will be responsible for envisioning, identifying and building businesses in new growth areas that will expand the CLEAR platform. He/she will lead in a fast-paced environment with high expectations to analyze, launch, and scale a number of business lines. This individual will lead a team that will attract new partners, members, and revenue sources for CLEAR and drive business growth that is aligned to broader organization strategy in a structured and organized way. Furthermore, this individual will provide critical leadership and guidance to the General Managers of each vertical (including healthcare, payments, building access, etc.) in his/her organization to develop strategic plans and financial models that will drive the successful execution of the overarching vision and plan.


What You Will Do:

  • Lead the New Verticals team in sourcing, managing, and implementing new business
  • Oversee both new business development and ongoing relationship management
  • Discover unmet customer needs and extract customer needs/challenges that inspire the ideas for tomorrow's businesses
  • Collaborate with a network of internal and external partners to identify, launch, and refine business ideas.  Create clear ownership for project tasks for team members
  • Determine optimal deal structure and financial considerations
  • Present recommendations, key findings, progress and challenges to senior leaders and stakeholders regularly

Who You Are:

  • 10+ years of experience in entrepreneurial, growth environments focused on building new business/revenue opportunities, from concept to scale
  • Strong leader with a magnet for talent - you must have managerial experience building amazing teams and supporting their development through ongoing feedback and coaching
  • High IQ with humility - you will be developing and analyzing a number of markets and business ideas. You should be able to deal with ambiguity, understand ideas quickly
  • You’re a visionary who sees how CLEAR’s platform will improve both customer lives and the services that are offered
  • Experience and a track record of success in corporate development roles and in closing deals and generating revenue in technology industries
  • Experience building enterprise relationships is required and experience with consumer facing businesses a strong positive
  • Experience in a technology company or an organization highly enabled by technology
  • Experience leveraging a technology platform to identify strategic fits and opportunities
  • An aggressive and tenacious approach to pursuing new markets, creating a sales pipeline, and overcoming customer concerns
  • A collaborative and cooperative work style; outstanding interpersonal and communication capabilities
  • A rare combination of high-level vision and pragmatism.  Must be able to “think big” about opportunities while bringing analytical rigor to the evaluation of those opportunities and having a commitment to data-driven decision making and execution
