Senior UX Designer

We're looking for an experienced Senior Product Designer to join our growing team. Classkick is a mission-driven company focused on making all students around the world successful and happy with their education.

Classkick designers are an integral part of shaping the future of the product and lead alongside Product Managers, Researchers, and Engineers to research, prototype, experiment, and launch delightful solutions that solve real problems for teachers and students. What you'll do:

  • Explore new product opportunities to further our mission of helping teachers teach and helping learners learn.
  • Transform customer problems into delightful solutions by leveraging deep customer empathy, Design Thinking techniques, and experimentation.
  • Refine and leverage the Classkick Design System to create workflows, prototypes, and design specs for your features.
  • Partner with Engineering and Product Managers to ensure a high-quality user experience, negotiating competing priorities and technology tradeoffs to deliver for customers.

Outcomes:

  • Become an expert about our customers and their problems, and continuously teach and share your expertise with the rest of the company
  • Tangibly influence the current and future product strategy by gathering data, identifying customer-backed insights, and persuading decision-makers with masterful storytelling.
  • Define and implement best practices related to discovery, Design Thinking, and designing in order to improve the quality of customer experiences and increase velocity of scrum teams.

You bring:

  • 4+ years of experience designing workflows and experiences in SaaS products.
  • Experience implementing Design Thinking into your processes: Going broad in the discovery phase and leveraging research and experimentation to narrow and deliver.
  • Passion for the customer and their problems
  • Strong storytelling skills that teach, persuade, and motivate individuals and teams.

Classkick is a tech startup that loves helping teachers and students. We love it so much, that in non-pandemic periods, we work out of a school every week or two, and have our whole team visit schools to see Classkick in action monthly. We come home to a half day hackathon and build/fix the product that day! We also have a democratized product culture where any team member can use the product system to push through product changes.
