Class adds teaching and learning tools to Zoom and makes the virtual classroom feel like a real classroom. Class is a remote company (you can work from anywhere!), with staff around the world.

Who We Are Looking For

An motivated and experienced Solutions Engineer/Sales Engineer with 3-5 years experience working in various corporate markets (industry, finance, insurance, healthcare, for-profit, non-profit, NGO, state and local government, federal agencies, etc.) and who has an understanding of the synchronous online learning model. Someone passionate about Education would be ideal!

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Partner with Class Account Executives to conduct client discovery calls, clarify prospective customer objectives or needs, and create technology value propositions that highlight Class Technologies’ unique solutions.
  • Establish rapport with prospects - earn and keep their trust, become a technical advisor, and position Class as a partner in their success.
  • Manage and deliver high-quality technical validation experiences such as product demonstrations, evaluations, and pilots by tailoring the solution, configuration, and data to support individual prospect requirements.
  • Work with all members of the Class Sales and Services teams to articulate product strategic value and develop client-focused solutions.
  • Review and write responses to RFPs/RFIs and technical questionnaires. 
  • Contribute to the development of a new product in a new market with a rapid growth company. 
  • Participate in trade shows, conferences, user groups, etc.

How to Succeed in this Role

  • Develop and maintain expert-level knowledge and proficiency in Class Technologies’ solutions including product functionality, application, architecture, administration, and deployment methodologies.
  • Work as a lead technical consultant in the sales process in meetings with sales executives and their prospective customers. 
  • Develop and maintain knowledge and application of relevant integration technologies, especially Zoom and API.
  • Provide rapid, accurate responses to questions from sales team members. 
  • Partner with Solutions Engineers, Services, and Customer Success teams to develop best practices for Class delivery, implementation, sales, support and technical solutioning. 
  • Provide insight, feedback, and recommendations to Product Managers to improve Class Technologies’ solution offerings.

Required Skills and Experience

  • 2+ years B2B software or services/sales/solutions consulting experience
  • Exceptional ability to present complex ideas in simple terms to groups of people who may have varied roles, experiences, and perspectives.
  • Proven ability to engage effectively at the executive level.
  • Basic to intermediate level experience with the application of instructional technologies to varied teaching and learning environments, especially synchronous learning.
  • Intermediate or higher level of understanding of enterprise-level IT infrastructure, enterprise system deployment and management methodologies, and cloud/SaaS environments.
  • Basic to intermediate understanding of SSO, SAML, IdP, and other authentication technologies.
  • Be conversant in synchronous (real-time) online professional development and training models and related technologies. 
  • Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to document and explain technical requirements and solutions.
  • Ability to work independently with a geographically dispersed team.
  • Self-motivated, self-starter. 
  • Excellent written and spoken fluency in English. 

Preferred Skills, Experience, and Education

  • Prior experience working in corporate learning, sales, solutions engineering, or customer success in a B2B SaaS or software company.
  • Experience with sales processes, sales strategies, and sales operations (e.g. tracking and contributing to objects in Salesforce). 
  • Moderate knowledge of REST API, data migration, and systems integration.
  • Familiarity with data security and privacy protocols and regulations.
  • Experience working in a start-up or fast-growth environment.
  • A natural problem solver - you are inquisitive, curious, and dedicated to finding the answer.
  • Experience writing RFI/RFP and technical questionnaire responses.
  • Zoom administration experience, or experience managing similar distance learning or virtual meeting platforms.
  • Degree in IT Management, Instructional Design, or another education-related field or equivalent work experience. 
  • Awareness of or expertise in distance education, hybrid/hyperflex, and adult learning theories and best practices. 

The Work-Life Experience

  • This position reports to the Director of Solutions Engineering (US) and works with a small team of Solutions Engineers serving corporate, higher education, and K12 markets.
  • The SE team is a significant contributor to the buyer experience by leading prospective clients to technical solutions that help them transform the way they deliver training and professional development online. 
  • The SE will gather client feedback on our solutions and share that information with internal stakeholders so that we may continuously improve our products and services. 
  • The SE will navigate the internal departments to identify opportunities to contribute and share knowledge and help the company grow. 
  • Class employees are 100% remote.  You must be comfortable working with remote teams. 
  • This role requires approximately 10-30% travel, although increased demand for travel can be expected if/when business travel becomes more routine across the industry
