Your main tasks will include:

• Supporting the system architecture design, development, and maintenance of scalable web applications using Ruby on Rails and Elixir.
• Providing technical leadership and mentorship to a team of engineers, fostering their growth and guiding them through technical challenges.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define and implement technical solutions that meet business requirements while aligning with the company's long-term technical strategy.
• Driving architectural decisions, ensuring adherence to best practices, and staying current with emerging technologies to inform technical direction.
• Identifying and addressing performance bottlenecks, optimizing overall system performance, and ensuring scalability.
• Participating in code reviews, providing constructive feedback, and maintaining high code quality standards.
• Gradually taking on responsibilities in people management and team organization.

You are right with us if:

• You have a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• You have proven experience (5+ years) in developing large-scale web applications with Ruby on Rails and/or Elixir.
• You have a strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and scalable system design.
• You are proficient in front-end technologies (JavaScript, HTML, CSS) and frameworks (React, Angular, etc.).
• You have experience with RESTful APIs, third-party integrations, and asynchronous messaging systems.
• You have a solid knowledge of database systems (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and data modeling and are familiar with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and DevOps practices such as CI/CD pipelines.
• You have excellent problem-solving skills and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• You have strong communication skills and the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• You have experience in leading technical teams or projects and a genuine interest in developing leadership skills for a transition into an Engineering Manager role.
