Senior Accountant - Switzerland (m/f/x)

The role:

• Manage the month-end and year-end close process, including preparing and reviewing journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements.
• Ensure compliance with Swiss GAAP and other regulatory requirements.
• Analyze financial data and trends to provide insights and recommendations for improving financial performance.
• Lead the preparation and coordination of internal and external audits.
• Lead the day to day accounting tasks, including payables, receivables and general ledger.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and improve efficiencies.
• Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures.

What we are looking for:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
• 3 – 5 years of progressive experience in accounting roles, with at least 2 years managing complex accounting tasks.
• Thorough understanding of accounting principles and regulations, mainly focusing on Swiss GAAP.
• Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems; experience with Oracle NetSuite is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.
• Business fluent German and English
• You are based in Switzerland or willing to relocate
