Due to the uncertainty of COVID-19, all Civis offices are closed and all employees are remote for the foreseeable future. This is being closely monitored as things change and it’s likely our offices will reopen. Because of this uncertainty, we want to ensure candidates are open to potentially relocating to one of our offices in the future, but a totally remote option is negotiable for this role.
What we are looking for
At Civis Analytics our teams are cross-functional and include a product manager, product designer, and a team of full-stack engineers. Teams are organized around, and accountable for product experiences that span each stage of the data science lifecycle.
We are hiring a Product Manager for our “Administer and Manage” team. This team is accountable to ensuring that Civis Platform has all of the capabilities needed to help complex organizations successfully manage their users, collaborate on projects, and optimize their storage and compute resources.
What you’ll own
- Creating and managing the vision and strategy for the admin-focused experiences (e.g., user & group management, permissioning, usage, etc.) on Civis Platform
- Conducting human-centered design research to understand customer and user needs in partnership with a product designer and team of software engineers
- Translating observations about the challenges or opportunities our customers and users have into new and improved product experiences
- Partnering with product design and engineering to ensure team-level practices and processes are optimized for delivering predictable and consistent value to our customers
- Partnering across the business with Customer Success, Solution Architects, and Sales to build trusted relationships and gather voice-of-the-customer feedback.
- Driving product adoption via customer communications, help documentation, demo scripts, etc.
- 3+ years of product management experience
- Demonstrated success in collaborating with engineering teams and product designers
- Strong leadership, decision-making, and collaboration skills
- Demonstrated success in identifying new and impactful product experiences that drive user happiness while strengthening the overall business
- US work authorization
- Prior experience working on a B2B SaaS product
- Prior experience building data-centric products
- Prior experience building experiences that enable a B2B product to be deployed at scale within complex organizations (e.g., permissioning, user management, etc.)
