The Code Compliance Department is seeking a highly qualified candidate for the position of Management Analyst II. This position is responsible for performing a wide range of complex financial analyses related to business operations, contract compliance, organizational efficiency, and budget preparation, forecasting, and monitoring. The successful candidate will analyze financial data (both historical and forecasted), evaluate systems, procedures, and operations, draw conclusions, and provide strategic recommendations. Additionally, they will design and implement improved processes, procedures, and methods while performing various analytical and administrative tasks.
The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify trends, conduct financial forecasting, and develop data-driven recommendations. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to create complex formulas and link worksheets, is essential. The candidate must also demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, be highly organized, and have the ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and prioritize tasks efficiently.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Master’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in Public Administration, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
- Two (2) years of experience in the analysis of processes, procedures, operations, systems or methods, including experience in the functional area of assignment such as budget/financial management, research analysis or related experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A degree in accounting with at least three (3) years of experience in accounting or financial analysis.
- Supervisory experience, with the ability to lead administrative and clerical staff effectively.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint for reporting and presentations.
The Management Analyst II job responsibilities include:
- Gather and analyze data/statistics to identify trends and inform decision-making.
- Reconcile revenues and ensure accuracy in financial records.
- Assist with year-end accruals and audit schedules, ensuring compliance with financial reporting standards.
- Perform a variety of analytical and administrative tasks to support business operations.
- Provide analytical support and organizational analysis to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Identify, develop, and recommend process improvements and operational enhancements.
- Assist in the creation and review of Mayor and Council communications, ensuring clarity and accuracy.

Physical Demands
Sedentary Work – Depending on assignment, positions in this class typically exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, a negligible amount of force frequently, and/or or constantly having to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
