A Customer Service Info Specialist job is available with the City of Fort Worth (Water / Customer Care). You will be responsible for ensuring consistency and quality of customer service. Including interpreting and applying department policies and procedures, setting up and monitoring accounts, receiving and applying payments, etc.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School diploma/GED
- Four (4) years of increasingly responsible customer service, cash handling, processing various forms of payment, reviewing complex account records, and daily reconciliation of funds including one (1) year in a lead capacity.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bilingual skills, English/Spanish
- Higher levels of education
- Previous experience using PeopleSoft Customer Relations Management (CRM) application and THE/Superion Utility Billing System.
- Strong knowledge of customer service skills, cashiering procedures, practices, and balancing principles.
The Customer Service Info Specialist job responsibilities include:
- Ensure consistency and quality of customer service
- Assist walk-in water customers, provide information, and efficiently resolve complaints.
- Respond to public inquiries in a courteous and customer-friendly manner.
- Process bill payments received in person and by mail.
- Promote the City and department Strategic Goals.
- Respond to request for services and assist with establishing payment plans.
- Check and balance bank deposits of $10,000 or more on a daily basis.
- Prepare financial reports.
Working Conditions
Depending on assignment, positions in this class typically require touching, talking, hearing, seeing, grasping, standing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, walking and repetitive motions.
Physical Demand
Light Work – Depending on assignment, positions in this class typically exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly having to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg control requires exertion of forces greater than that for the Sedentary Work category and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated Light Work.
