Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college with major course work in Business Management, Public Administration, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Five (5) or more years of business experience and business analysis experience.
- Valid driver’s license.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience administering CAD systems, preferably in public safety.
- Proficiency in SQL (Structured Query Language), scripting languages, and system administration tools.
- Strong knowledge of Computer-Aided Dispatch systems, GIS mapping, and database management.
The Senior Business Process Analyst job responsibilities include:
- Administer, configure, and maintain the Fire/EMS CAD systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Manage system updates, patches, and enhancements in collaboration with IT, other departments and external vendors.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot technical issues to minimize downtime.
- Develop and maintain Fire/EMS CAD system policies, procedures, and documentation.
- Ensure accurate GIS/mapping integration and database management within the Fire/EMS CAD system for the City of Fort Worth and external Suburban Dispatch Partners.
- Maintain data integrity, system security, and compliance with relevant regulations.
- Extensively collaborate with external agencies and vendors to integrate mutual-aid systems and enhancements.
- Participate in emergency operations planning and technology improvements.
Working Conditions:
- This position primarily operates in an office environment with extended periods of time working at a desk, using a computer, and engaging in virtual or in-person meetings.
- May require occasional travel to emergency communication centers, fire stations, or field locations for system testing, troubleshooting, and training.
- Must be available for after-hours support, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, in case of system emergencies or scheduled maintenance.
Physical Demand:
- Sedentary Work – Depending on assignment, positions it this class typically exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, a negligible amount of force frequently, and/or constantly having to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
Applicants for this position must pass a Criminal Justice Information Systems (CJIS) fingerprint-based background check and maintain CJIS eligibility. Due to CJIS requirements related to system access, the following will result in being disqualified for this position: Felony Convictions, Felony Deferred Adjudication, Class A Misdemeanor Conviction, Class B Misdemeanor Convictions in the last 10 years, Class A Misdemeanor Deferred Adjudication, Class B Misdemeanor Deferred Adjudication in the last 10 years, an Open Arrest for Any Criminal Offense (Felony or Misdemeanor), and ALL Family Violence Convictions regardless of class.
