This position is a first responder in severe weather conditions/emergencies which will be subject to work after hours, emergency call back hours, nights, weekends, holidays, and will participate in an on-call rotation schedule.

A Field Operations Crewleader position is available with the City of Fort Worth Transportation and Public Works Stormwater Operation Division. Candidates selected for this position will work in the Stormwater CCTV (Closed Circuit Television) Program.
The City of Fort Worth CCTV program is responsible for approximately 1000 miles of drainage infrastructure. The ultimate goal is to generate a system-wide database to properly identify, prioritize, plan, manage, or renovate the City’s 1,000-plus miles of mapped stormwater underground assets.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED
- Two (2) years of responsible experience in field construction, maintenance, repair or operational activities related to assigned division.
- Maintain Class A Driver’s License with a Tank Endorsement Required; Operations of a hydro-mulch vehicle, water truck, and/or vactor as required.
- Must pass Drug Screen, Physical.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of the Texas Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices
- Work zone safety
- Operating a CCTV truck
- Operating a Vactor truck
- Entering data and running reports on work order asset management system
- Confine space entry
- Additional construction repair and maintenance experience
- Experience with saws, compressor, generator, various hand tools, skid steer, excavator, CCTV inspection, vacuum trucks and tools or equipment related to assigned division.
- Basic computer skills, i.e. Microsoft Office
- Data entry experience.
- Pipeline Assessment Certification (PACP), Manhole Assessment Certification (MACP) and Lateral Assessment Certification (LACP)
The Field Crewleader job responsibilities include:
- Assures project work quality and efficiency specifications and timelines are met.
- Pulling and hooking up high pressure hoses in cleaning storm drains and pipes, including positioning of truck, feeding and retrieving high pressure lines from Inlets and pipes.
- Inspect and clean, if necessary, storm lines, manholes, inlets
- Work in all weather conditions and have the ability to work in confined spaces like storm inlets and pipe 18” diameter and up, willing to get dirty.
- Maintain paperwork, respond to high priority calls and providing training and instruction to other personnel who operate equipment related to assigned division.
- Equipment operations and manual labor duties as they relate to maintenance operations.
- Adheres to assigned work schedule as outlined in the Department and City attendance policies and procedures; ensures all behaviors comply with City’s Personnel Rules and Regulations.
- This position is also responsible for an equipment operator helper and responding to high-priority calls. Provide training and instruction to other personnel who operate the CCTV and Vactor truck on an as-needed basis. Preference will be given for years of experience.
- Performs other duties as required.
