A Sr. Civil Engineer job is available with the City of Fort Worth Water Department / Capital Delivery. The Water Department, Capital Delivery, Section is seeking to hire an experienced highly motivated and qualified Sr. Civil Engineer with design and project management experience to work on water/wastewater plant projects and water/sanitary sewer rehabilitation projects water storage tanks, pump stations, lift stations and meter stations.
This Position qualifies for the following incentives which is separate from the base pay:
- Sign-On Incentive of: $8,000 ***50% paid after the completion of first pay period, 50% paid after the completion of 6 months of employment. ***
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in civil engineering or a related field
- Three (3) years of professional civil engineering experience as a registered professional engineer
- Two (2) years performing project management that includes design and contract administration of water and wastewater projects
- Possession of registration as a Professional Engineer in the State of Texas. If licensed in another state, continued employment will be contingent upon obtaining registration as a Professional Engineer within the State of Texas within six months of employment.
- Valid Driver's License
Sr. Civil Engineer job responsibilities include:
- Perform professional civil engineering work including design and contract administration of water and sanitary sewer projects.
- Participates in the planning and development of capital projects.
- Directing and coordinating various City Engineering projects and programs.
- Prepare / review and evaluate contractor pay estimates and change orders.
- Inspection of facility and water/sanitary sewer projects.
- Preparing for and conduction public meetings.
