Multiple Site Supervisor positions are available with the City of Fort Worth Park & Recreation Department to oversee programs within Fort Worth Independent School District (FWISD). The flexibility and creativity that you bring to the After School Program directly transfers to the teaching done during the regular school day. The ideal candidates will provide recreation and educational programs and activities; promote, coordinate, implement and evaluate inside and outside activities and events and oversee effectiveness of assigned programs. Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Two (2) years’ experience leading children’s activities for youth ages 5 – 13 in a recreational and educational environment
- Minimum of six (6) months supervisory experience
- Valid Driver's License.
- Possession of or ability to obtain a CPR, First Aid, and AED certification during the first 30 days of employment.
- Must pass Drug Screen
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of principles and practices of supervision, training and evaluation, implementation of programs, principles and practices of recordkeeping, city goals, objectives and mission,
- Skill in customer service, public speaking, delivering presentations, computers and applicable software, organization and time management, and interpersonal relations.
The Site Supervisor job responsibilities include:
- Supervise, oversee and participate in the administering of assigned programs; ensure compliance with contract/agreement requirements; assist in the development of City goals and policies for programs. Maintain a high level of safety indoors and outdoors.
- Monitor, collect, track, verify attendance and schedules, breakfast, snack and lunch meal reports; maintain record of time and payroll for assigned staff. Maintain accurate daily reports, record volunteer, student registration and enrollment for assigned programs.
- Maintain equipment inventory, materials and supplies.
- Provide administrative assistance to senior management; prepare and present staff reports and provide statistical information for reports as needed.
- Coordinate assigned activities with other divisions, outside agencies, community organizations and the public.
- Oversee and implement marketing to promote programs and recruit students.
- Coordinate and or collaborates with school to promote parent workshops and family events.
- Develop and implement weekly lesson plans that promote educational, cultural and recreational needs; coordinate indoor and outdoor activities; plan and implement lesson plans which include science, math, reading, organized recreational games, arts and crafts, and college and career activities.

Medium work – Depending on assignment, positions in this class typically exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly having to move objects.
