A Field Operations Crew Leader position is available with The City of Fort Worth Environmental Service Department – In the litter Nuisance Abatement sections. The Fort Worth Environmental Service protects one of the fastest growing metropolitan areas in the country with a wide range of services, including: emergency preparedness, education, prevention and response.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED
- Two (2) years of responsible experience in field construction, maintenance, repair, or operational activities related to assigned division.
- Valid Driver’s License
Preferred Qualifications:
- Materials, methods, and techniques commonly used in landscaping, litter and nuisance abatement, maintenance, and repair activities which may include city properties and right of ways.
- Principles of training and monitoring lower level staff and pertinent Federal, State and local laws, codes and regulations.
- Ability to Operate and maintain trucks, trailers, and other equipment as related to this position. Organize and review the work of subordinate personnel. Train subordinate personnel. Interpret and explain City policies and procedures.
- Occupational hazards and standard safety precautions.
- Knowledge of data entry systems such as the Information Technology Service Management System (ITSM) and/or a work order management system and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint).
The Field Operations Crew leader job responsibilities include:
- Receiving and inputting new request into ISM and My FW app.
- Daily operations data collection and reports
- Dispatching and scheduling of projects to Litter Abatement and Nuisance Abatement Crews
- Direct oversight and management of all contract litter crews.
- Providing daily/monthly operations data reports.
- Coordinating monthly operations and safety meetings.
- Leading and coordinating neighborhood litter events.
- Monitoring and management of mowing contractor.
- Prioritizes, assigns leads, reviews and participates in the work of subordinate employees responsible for general field operations construction maintenance and special projects.
- The prompt resolution of high priority complaints and request
- Providing detailed and accurate operations reports to Supervisor and upper management
- Responding to customer request and concerns.
- Attending and presenting at Neighborhood meetings.
- Daily scheduling contract litter crews.
- Crew leader will participate in homeless camps clean-up and litter sweep right-a-way clean ups and Nuisance abatement orders clean up.
