A Project Assistant job is available with the City of Fort Worth Development Services Contract Management Division. The Development Services Department works with residents, businesses, developers, and other stakeholders to achieve the City’s vision of becoming the most livable and best managed city in the country. Our fast-paced work environment and focus on constant improvement keeps us motivated to implement best practices and to provide excellent customer experiences. The Contract Management Section plays a critical role in achieving the City’s vision by administrating developer led infrastructure agreements.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Associates degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in public administration, business administration, planning, or a related field.
- Three (3) years of increasingly responsible related work experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Accela Automation, Adobe Acrobat, PeopleSoft Financials and Microsoft Suite.
- Possession of or ability to obtain a Notary Public Certificate and eNotary credentials within six months of hire date.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing.
The Project Assistant’s job responsibilities include:
- Coordinates with the development community to initiate and draft applicable development contracts for execution.
- Serves as liaison between the development community and city staff to obtain appropriate exhibits, relevant contract documentation, collect payment for applicable development fees, and assist with redline negotiation before digitally routing contract(s) for execution and county recordation.
- Scheduling and attending meetings with relevant stakeholders to resolve project friction points to keep the development process moving.
- Monitoring and funding coordination of internal financial accounts and external county accounts to ensure a sufficient balance to complete recordation when agreements are executed.

Physical Demands
Sedentary Work – Depending on assignment, positions in this class typically exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, a negligible amount of force frequently, and/or or constantly having to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
