A Community Center Aide job is available with The City of Fort Worth Park & Recreation Department to assist with programs and activities at our Community Centers. Working evenings and weekends may be required.
Candidate may be hired to work for one of the below Community Center (CC) locations based on the need at the time of offer
Chisholm Trail CC
Hours may be dependent on vacancy needed at the time of offer:
20hr PT (.5) partial benefits
29hr PT (.725) partial benefits
The Community Center Aide job responsibilities include:
Assist with coordinating and conducting programs and activities for participants of all ages.
Work the front desk as the first point of contact dealing with inquiries, taking registrations, checking members in to programs and selling memberships.
Perform a variety of facility upkeep duties including custodial and light maintenance work around the center.
Be responsible for working some evening and weekend hours.
High School Diploma or GED
At least six months of experience in recreation or athletic services and programs
Valid driver’s license
Possess, or have the ability to obtain a CPR, First Aid, and AED certification during the first six months of employment
Bilingual English/Spanish speaking skills
Experience working with children ages 5 – 13
Customer service experience
Strong computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
Conditions of Employment
Candidates who do not meet the Education requirement, may be considered if they have more relevant work experience than the position requires. Those selected for employment will be required to pass Pre-Employment checks depending on the position requirements.
