The City of Fort Worth Park & Recreation and Neighborhood Services Department are recruiting for several seasonal positions to work with our Summer Day Camp Program, Camp Fort Worth, and the Mobile Recreation Summer Day Camp Program.
We are looking for enthusiastic Camp Leaders who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment while encouraging kids to stay safe, physically active and intellectually engaged while having fun.
Camp Fort Worth and Mobile Recreation Summer Day Camp offers a great opportunity to make a positive impact while ensuring the well-being of children ages 5-13 by providing:

Camp Fort Worth is located at 18 community centers throughout the City of Fort Worth. The camps run six (6) weeks and are offered between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.
The Departments are recruiting for over 80 positions at multiple Community Centers and Mobile Recreation Camp locations. Mobile Recreation Summer Day Camp is offered at four City of Fort Worth parks and run for six (6) weeks between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.
The positions will work between 32 and 40 hours per week (seasonal position with no benefits).
High School Diploma or GED from an accredited school.
Six (6) months’ experience with children 5-13 years old leading activities in a recreational and/or educational environment.
Must be age 18 or older (17 if a high school graduate).
Hiring Fairs are scheduled for the following dates:
April 17th 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.
April 30th 1 p.m. - 8 p.m.
Qualified candidates will be scheduled to interview at one of the above job fair dates.
Note: Due to COVID19, the Summer Day Camp (SDC) Program may be affected, and these positions are dependent on having the program.
Conditions of Employment
Candidates who do not meet the Education requirement, may be considered if they have more relevant work experience than the position requires. Those selected for employment will be required to pass Pre-Employment checks depending on the position requirements. Those could include, but are not limited to: criminal background check, drug screen, education verification, etc. Criminal convictions will be considered on a case by case basis.
