About the role

As the Director of Talent Acquisition, you will own the entire talent acquisition function for Citizen across all tech and non-tech roles. You will work as a player/coach to build and manage a world-class talent acquisition team, who act as business partners to leaders in their respective disciplines. You will be both strategic and hands-on, a builder and an operator, as well as a key member of the People leadership team. 

We are looking for someone who has experience developing cutting-edge talent strategies and initiatives that support business goals, and who is motivated to provide a best-in-class candidate experience. To be successful, you will balance best practices with innovation, knowing when to rely on the playbook and when to invent.

This position reports directly to the Chief People Officer. 

What You’ll Do Here:

  • Provide full cycle recruiting and best practices for attracting and retaining top level talent for both technical and non-technical positions
  • Hire, manage, and coach a recruiting team across multiple locations
  • Implement efficient, scalable, consistent, and effective talent acquisition processes and technologies to support Citizen’s continued growth and key business priorities
  • Partner and collaborate with senior management, HR  Business Partners and other People Team members to inform, influence, develop and implement talent acquisition strategies & processes
  • Establish and manage key organizational metrics to meet short and long term recruiting strategies
  • Work with executives on headcount forecasting with the ability to contribute to succession planning and other People processes as needed
  • Lead the continuing development and education of all  interviewers with the ultimate goal of an exceptional candidate experience 
  • Contribute employer branding strategies and implement creative solutions to grow the top of funnel for Citizen’s candidate pool

  • Experience in a recruiting leadership role, hiring at scale and building a differentiated employer brand
  • Managed strategic initiatives while owning full-cycle recruiting for multiple positions
  • Created metrics for talent acquisition; reporting regularly on activities/initiatives and using data to fuel improvement
  • Proven success growing, managing, and leading a lean and high-powered Talent Acquisition team across multiple locations
  • Exceptional story telling, follow-up and active listening to connect authentically with candidates and employees
  • Knowledge of the most effective sourcing tools and systems that support the people management and hiring process
