Java Engineer I - Data & Channel Management team

Specifically, the Data & Channel Management team is responsible for foundational services within the platform that allow our users to connect their Social Media Channels with Brandwatch.

In this role as an engineer in the Data & Channel Management team, you will:

• Enhance and maintain the backend stack of Channel Management, as well as our Meta Data Ingestion services
• Collaborate with members of other product groups, fostering a culture of partnership and innovation. You’ll work as an engineer delivering back-end solutions of channel management for social platforms
• Deliver well-tested and scalable solutions that meet technical and product needs
• Share and discuss best practices proactively with your peers.
• Support product teams in using the APIs that your team builds

That said, prior experience in any of the following areas will be beneficial:

• Proficiency in Java and Spring Framework

Any of the following would be beneficial, but not essential:

• Understanding of PostgreSQL and relational database principles
• Experience with Kafka or similar event-driven messaging technologies
• Familiarity with modern DevOps tools: Git, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes
