What is this role?
We are seeking a Marketplace Manager to take ownership of our Amazon and related channels to help scale our e-commerce strategy of meeting the customer wherever they prefer to shop. This role will be instrumental in managing and optimizing our marketplace listings, analyzing performance data, and implementing new strategies to drive incremental and retained sales growth across the world. This role will report to our Vice President of Ecommerce, alongside our Development, UX, and Retention teams.
What does an average day look like?
- Driving Results:
- Own and manage the daily operation of key ecommerce retail channels, like Amazon and Walmart, including listing management, product optimization, and performance tracking.
- Coordinate product launches, promotions, and inventory management to maximize sales growth.
- Taking Ownership:
- Develop the strategy and execution of our marketplace roadmap, calendar, and prioritization.
- Analyze marketplace performance metrics, sales trends, and consumer behavior to make informed decisions that enhance growth.
- Making Decisions:
- Continuously improve product listings, keyword strategy, and content to enhance channel-specific organic and paid search visibility and conversion rates.Manage new marketplace feeds to ensure proper integration and best practice.
- Cultivating Relationships:
- Work with our Brand, Creative, Product and Digital teams to synchronize go-to-market strategies across ecommerce channel platforms.
- Utilize additional channels (such as social media, email, and SMS) and partner programs as needed to ensure a successful launch. Working alongside the data team to execute on effective personalization, targeting, and segmentation to drive enhanced loyalty, retention, and sales.
- Instilling Trust:
- Develop and standardize design standards and QA processes across our email program.
- Customer Focus:
- Stay updated on Amazon, Walmart and other related platform policies, ensuring all listings comply with platform guidelines and internal Cirkul teams are aware of potential impacts well ahead of deadline.
What background should you have?
- 4+ years of experience managing e-commerce channels, with a strong prior emphasis on Amazon.
- Strong understanding of Amazon Seller Central / Walmart Retail Link, etc.
- Demonstrated success in growing marketplace channels and optimizing product listings.
- Experience managing multi-channel feeds.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail; proofreading and QA experience.
- Highly self-motivated and self-directed in your work with a bias towards action and a willingness to take on tasks no matter how big or small.
- Relentless curiosity about our customers with a persistent desire to collect information, analyze results, and improve performance.
