What is this role?
As the VP of Manufacturing - Technical Operations for Cirkul, you will lead several of the technical staff organizations in the manufacturing function including quality assurance, compliance, manufacturing engineering, and maintenance. You will lead the technical continuous improvement program for Cirkul and develop strategies to allow Cirkul to scale its manufacturing operations to meet increasing consumer demand. You will have several senior level direct reports and will sit on the manufacturing leadership team. You will partner with all of the manufacturing teams as well as finance, human resources, automation engineering, external suppliers, supply chain, and OEMs, and supply chain to develop and execute Cirkul's business plans.
What does an average day look like?
- Driving Results: Lead multiple technical manufacturing organizations including quality assurance, compliance, manufacturing engineering, and maintenance. Lead Cirkul's QA execution and QA continuous improvement program
- Taking Ownership: Lead the development and execution of Cirkul's technical continuous improvement and manufacturing excellence programs.
- Making Decisions: Lead the manufacturing technical and automation masterplan, technical talent program, and technical training program.
- Cultivating Relationships: Lead Cirkul's operate and maintain program and technical skill building programs.
- Instilling Trust: Identify and implement best practices on equipment platforms, problem solving, technical documentation, and technical systems and processes.
- Customer Focus: Develop and implement the equipment upgrades and planned obsolescence program to ensure little to no interruption on customer delivery.
What background should you have?
- 15+ years leading in a high velocity manufacturing environment in roles of increasing responsibility.
- 15+ years of experience in technical staff organizations supporting manufacturing and delivering world class results.
- 15+ years of experience leading equipment platforms, quality assurance, and/or asset management/life cycle programs.
- 10+ years of leading senior managers.
- Experience leading multi-site and/or multi-geography organizations or programs.
- High level of technical understanding including relevant manufacturing excellence, engineering, maintenance, and quality assurance systems, processes, and nomenclature.
- High level of business acumen to be able to make decisions that create multi-benefit results.
- Demonstrated ability to turn general high level direction into actionable plans.
- Demonstrated ability to create a vision of the future, articulate that vision, and create actionable and measurable plan to achieve that vision
- Demonstrated ability to concisely brief executive leadership on business situations to drive to decisions and resolution.
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
- Holds others to high standards and understands complex business issues
- Willing to work hard, stay until the job is complete, and demonstrate resilience
- Have a positive attitude, willing to work with multiple levels of employees, and thrive in a fast paced environment.
- Must be willing to travel up to 25%
