What is this role? 

As a Quality Assurance Manager for Cirkul, you will lead QA initiatives, foster continuous improvement, and promote cross-functional collaboration. Your key responsibilities include developing your team, managing HR issues, and developing best in class quality programs to support the manufacturing environment.

You will work closely with departments like production, engineering, and maintenance to integrate quality standards across all functions. By encouraging open communication and collaboration, you will help align quality assurance with the company’s goals and values.

What does an average day look like?

  • Driving Results: Inspire and guide the QA Team in their daily activities, providing best practices and development opportunities to enhance their skills and performance.
  • Taking Ownership: Lead cross functional teams to assure effective implementation and adherence to QA initiatives and process improvements.
  • Making Decisions: Mentor and manage team members to ensure appropriate SOPs are in place and maintain compliance with FDA, 21 CFR 117, cGMP, and SQF.
  • Cultivating Relationships: Build strong relationships with various departments to promote food quality and safety priorities, communicate risks, and support business objectives.
  • Instilling Trust: Collaborate with other departments to advance awareness and education of food/product safety and quality, building a culture of trust and accountability, and focusing on a common goal.
  • Customer Focus: Influence at all levels within Cirkul to ensure adherence to the highest standards of product safety and quality, always keeping the customer in mind.

What background should you have? 

  • Minimum 5 years experience in Quality Assurance/ cGMP/ FDA regulated industry. 
  • Minimum 3 years of supervisory or management experience, with a focus on team development and leadership.
  • Demonstrated background of cross-functional leadership and collaboration, with strong team building experience.
  • Experience with food packaging manufacture preferred.
