What is this role? 

As a Reliability Engineer for Cirkul, You will have a good understanding of methods such as Reliability Modeling, Prediction, apportionment FME, critical analysis, maintainability analysis, and demonstration.

What does an average day look like?

  • Driving Results: 
    • Develops, recommends, and implements strategies for improving the reliability of product, component, and manufacturing processes.
    •  Initiates elemental engineering studies into equipment/process failures and presents analysis details to management.
    •  Able to apply general engineering concepts to solve problems. Conduct routine engineering calculations.
  • Taking Ownership: 
    • Develop and manage testing for reliability and durability - accelerated testing.
    • Periodically benchmarks current performance with internal and external sources to identify opportunities for improvement.
    • Implement Reliability Engineering concepts and Reliability Management principles.
  • Making Decisions: 
    • Gathers and examines reliability data from studies and correlates the data for analysis using well-defined engineering techniques, principles, and procedures.
    • Must have a thorough knowledge of concepts such as: Probability analysis, Statistical analysis, Reliability hazard analysis, Dynamic reliability block-diagram analysis, fault tree analysis, root cause analysis, accelerated analysis, avoidance of single point of failure, functional analysis and functional failure analysis, testability analysis, human error analysis, operational hazard analysis, preventative/planned maintenance optimization, manual screening. 
  • Cultivating Relationships: 
    • Liaise with relevant teams on outcomes of tests/analysis.
  • Instilling Trust: 
    • Manages the reliability and quality of engineers, and develops succession plans, skills assessments, and training.
  • Customer Focus: 
    • Ensure quality and reliability of Cirkul products.

What background should you have? 

  • Reacts in an organized and methodical manner.
  • 4-year technical degree in Engineering.
  • 3+ years of Reliability Engineering experience, preferably with high-volume consumer products.
  • Ability to travel up to 15%.
  • Ability to exercise professional judgment in identifying organizational improvement.
  • Ability to effectively communicate to all levels of the company.
  • Ability to effectively work with cross-functional teams as a change agent, facilitator, coach, and mentor.
  • Follows company safety and health guidelines and other company policies.
