What you’ll be responsible for: 

Circle is looking for a seasoned and practical professional who is interested in helping to build a first class tax department. Reporting to the Senior Director, International Tax, this role will provide US and International Tax Support in respect of the company’s key initiatives as it drives forward with its growth plans and international expansion. 

What you'll work on: 

  • Providing US International Tax support in respect of key global business initiatives, including; product initiatives, market expansion, planning and restructuring. 
  • Managing the Transfer Pricing Policy and intercompany arrangements required to support such business initiatives, including being responsible for operational implementation of such transfer pricing policies and preparation of monthly calculations arising from such. 
  • Partnering closely with Circle’s US Tax Operations Team to ensure US international tax aspects of business initiatives are captured from a US tax accounting and tax compliance perspective. 
  • Providing support for all aspects of international tax compliance, international statutory audit process and Circle’s global Pillar 2 obligations. 
  • Partnering closely with Legal, Treasury, Finance Controllers, FP&A on all US and International matters arising from above key global business initiatives.
  • Supporting the management and resolution of all international audit issues raised by US and international tax authorities.
  • Developing and maintaining relationships globally with third party consultants and tax professionals, including engagement administration and fees.

What you’ll bring to Circle: 

  • 7+ years of US international tax experience in a public accounting, law firm and/or US multinational setting.
  • Specific experience of US international tax concepts and the impact that they have on the US tax accounting and compliance perspective.
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross functionally to solve problems.
  • Excellent communications skills, ability to explain tax concepts with cross-functional and management teams.
  • Experience in financial services, fintech or crypto industries preferred.
  • Bachelor's Degree in accounting or finance, CPA preferred.
  • Fluency with Oracle ERP system preferred.
  • Experience/familiarity with Slack, Apple MacOS and GSuite.

Starting pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to: relevant experience, skill set, qualifications, and other business and organizational needs. Please note that compensation ranges may differ for candidates in other locations.

Base Pay Range: $130,000 - $170,000

Annual Bonus Target: 15%

Also Included: Equity & Benefits (including medical, dental, vision and 401(k)). Circle has a discretionary vacation policy. We also provide 10 days of paid sick leave per year and 11 paid holidays per year in the U.S.
