What you’ll be responsible for:

In this role, you will design and execute a robust blockchain security assessment program. You will also lead security risk assessments of blockchains, and provide security expertise and risk mitigation recommendations to various enterprise teams.

What you'll work on:

  • Leverage your technical understanding of various blockchains such as Ethereum, Bitcoin, Solana etc to conduct blockchain security assessments
  • Evaluate threat intelligence related to various blockchains and provide an impact assessment
  • Engage with blockchain engineering teams and provide security recommendations
  • Design and enhance Circle’s blockchain assessment program
  • Perform security assessments of a defined portfolio of Circle’s third parties and provide and track risk mitigation measures
  • Mentor and coach junior team members
  • Provide metrics and reporting

What you’ll bring to Circle:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in computer science, computer engineering, cybersecurity or related field
  • A technical understanding of a variety of blockchains - Ethereum, Bitcoin, Solana are examples
  • An ability to understand source code - e.g. Python, Rust
  • 2+ years of working in blockchain security
  • 7+ years of experience in cybersecurity, technology, or engineering
  • Expertise communicating security risk to both technical and non technical teams
  • Ability to take a deep dive into technical controls to determine control effectiveness
  • Experience working in financial services or other highly regulated industry
  • Self-motivated; able to work independently and adapt to ambiguity
  • Creative problem-solver; can recommend and implement changes to improve pre-established processes and procedures
  • Certifications such as CISSP, CTPRP, CISA, CISM, or similar will receive favorable consideration but are not required.

Starting pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to: relevant experience, skill set, qualifications, and other business and organizational needs. Please note that compensation ranges may differ for candidates in other locations.

Base Pay Range: $130,000-$170,000

Annual Bonus Target: 15%

Also Included: Equity & Benefits (including medical, dental, vision and 401(k)). Circle has a discretionary vacation policy. We also provide 10 days of paid sick leave per year and 11 paid holidays per year in the U.S.
