Choreo is seeking a Senior Business Intelligence Developer to work on the Technology team in the development, operations, and maintenance of Microsoft tools and features. This role will ensure that daily ETL processes are running successfully, current reports are accurate, and new PowerBI reporting is built and released as needed. The Senior BI Developer will report to the Senior Director of Business Analytics and partner with the Chief Information Officer and Director of Informational Security on a day-to-day basis.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, deliver, and maintain intuitive, engaging, and informative reporting visualization assets
  • Design, develop, deliver, and maintain data architecture assets, deliverables, and documentation
  • Stay current on all upcoming features and capabilities of relevant technology solutions
  • Provide detailed documentation including guidance, training, and solution descriptions to business and technical stakeholders
  • Conducts requirements analysis, documents technical specifications, and writes, reviews, and debugs ETL and PowerBI code
  • Recommends revisions or enhancements based on user feedback
  • Develops and maintains documentation, training, and user manuals for ETL solutions.
  • Provides support in the event of problems related to reporting results, and troubleshooting issues that arise with data warehouse processes

Technical Requirements:

  • 5+ years experience designing developing business intelligence solutions using PowerBI or similar tool
  • 5+ years experience architecting various data models, including relational and star schema
  • 5+ years experience implementing various semantic models, including Tabular, Multidimensional, Security Models, Dimensional Structures, and hierarchies
  • 5+ years experience developing queries and stored procedures using T-SQL, Python, and Data Analysis Expressions (DAX)
  • Experience developing ETL solutions utilizing SSIS, Azure Data Factory, or other enterprise ETL/ELT tools
  • Experience in utilizing Azure DevOps or TFS for issue tracking and Git for code versioning
  • Familiar and experienced with Microsoft’s Technology EcoSystem (Azure, Dynamics365, Office365 and Power Platforms)
  • Familiar and experienced designing and developing solutions using Visual Studio\SSDT\DAX Studio\Tabular Editor
  • Skilled in preparing and delivering documentation such as, but not limited to, business and functional requirements, data flow, logical, and physical diagrams

Basic Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate Degree, preferably in Management Information Systems (MIS), Computer Science (CS) or Information Technology related field of study
  • Minimum of 5 years in a corporate environment designing, developing and supporting enterprise information assets, with 3 years of experience in Financial Services/Wealth Management preferred
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with the SDLC methodologies such as Waterfall and Agile.
  • Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills amongst key stakeholders
  • Ability to work efficiently, effectively, and independently as well as in a team environment to see projects through to conclusion
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks, projects, and assignments with the ability to float between multiple projects
  • Adheres to industry best practices, quality, standards, framework, and approach for designing and deployment of enterprise digital and reporting assets
