What You Will Do

The Senior Analyst, Operations Finance role provides an opportunity to collaborate with cross functional teams in a dynamic and results-driven organization. Your main responsibilities will be to focus on operational analysis and optimization through the creation, enhancement and maintenance of financial tools, deliver financial reporting, support company-wide budgeting and planning processes, and provide high quality analysis and insights to the Chomps organization. You will collaborate with various teams, including Operations, Finance and Accounting, and have unique exposure to key business drivers of a rapidly growing brand and organization. You will be a game changer, demonstrating the intellectual curiosity and scrappiness to dig into unfamiliar data and analysis. You will help build and maintain meaningful tools to create measurable value to the Chomps organization. You will be a critical contributor on a growing and impactful finance team. 

Responsibilities

Financial Reporting 

  • Create, maintain, and enhance month-end close dashboards and reports, collaborating across functions to deliver accurate monthly financial reporting through detailed variance analysis.
  • Analyze financial results and incorporate key insights into financial reporting delivery.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of Cost of Goods Sold (COGS), evaluating factors such as production and raw material costs to identify trends or inefficiencies. 

Financial Planning 

  • Support ongoing financial planning processes by providing in-depth analysis and actionable insights aimed at improving the visibility and accuracy of operating expenses.
  • Collaborate across functions to ensure that all operational projects are accurately integrated into financial models and planning processes by tracking the financial impact of ongoing initiatives and making necessary adjustments to plans.
  • Maintain and enhance forecast models, assumption documentation, and reporting for operations inputs and outputs.
  • Provide forecast templates and review trends in key operations expense accounts. 

Ad Hoc Analysis / Cross Functional Support 

  • Support innovation financial modeling.
  • Support operational efficiency projects and investment analysis through financial modeling, delivering insights on cost savings across operational expense areas.
  • Provide actionable insights through analysis. 

Who You Are

  • 2+ years of experience in Finance Operations (FinOps), Financial Planning & Analysis, or related quantitative field.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics or related field required.
  • Advanced in Excel, with strong analytical skills and proficiency in financial modeling.
  • Familiarity with Netsuite, BI, CRM and financial planning applications is a plus.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional judgement and maturity, including an ability to escalate and ask for help when necessary.   
  • Exemplary collaboration skills.
  • Outstanding communication (both verbal and written) and relationship management skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to continuous improvement.

Type: Full-Time, exempt

Salary Range Opportunity:

  • The salary range for this role is $70,000 - $75,000 + 10% annual bonus

Compensation Philosophy & Total Comp:

  • Our salary ranges are based on verified market data and our philosophy of paying competitively for our size and industry
  • Individual pay rate decisions are based on several factors, including qualifications for the role, experience level, skillset, and balancing internal equity relative to peers at the company
  • In addition to base salary, full-time team members receive medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401K 6% match, and monthly reimbursements for wellness and home office.
