What You Will Do

As the Senior Associate, Fulfillment you will play a critical role in ensuring our order fulfillment strategy is flexible, right-sized for our growth plans, and provides best-in-class execution and service levels for our valued customers. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a readiness to learn and build systems to accelerate Chomps towards our rapid growth objectives. This is an exceptional opportunity for an ambitious individual with a background in customer supply chain management and/or third-party logistics (3PL) relationship and performance management, capable of both individual contribution and leadership in an entrepreneurial environment. This role will be based in the greater Salt Lake City, UT area to support the future expansion of Chomps’ fulfillment operations with an existing 3PL location in Salt Lake City.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the successful expansion of the current Salt Lake City location including coordination with cross-functional team members within Chomps and our 3PL partner. Success is measured by ensuring strong customer service throughout the roll-out and ensuring timely and accurate inventory controls.
  • Own order fulfillment strategy for all wholesale customer orders for SLC location. This will include extensive collaboration with our sales, operations, and 3PL fulfillment partners. Additionally, this role will support our ecommerce and D2C.
  • On a day-to-day basis, this role will collaborate with internal team members at Chomps and with our 3PL partner to ensure timely receipt of inbound deliveries from manufacturing locations, accurate receiving, inventory storage/FIFO/accuracy, and fulfilling outbound customer shipments through a combination of full truckload, less than truckload, and parcel shipments to ensure timely delivery to our customers and consumers.
  • Support order allocation strategy and communication across the organization with the collaboration of our sales, business analytics and planning teams.
  • Own fulfillment compliance reconciliations and work with our 3PL fulfillment partners to ensure they have a good, working SOP that adheres to each customer’s unique set of requirements.
  • Collaborate with Finance team to build out fulfillment functional budgets.
  • Manage 3PL fulfillment spend auditing versus contractual agreements and budget.
  • Execute quarterly business reviews (QBRs) with 3PL fulfillment partner to drive performance improvement efforts and increase transparency across our supply chain, but also have daily/weekly informal communications and formal meetings with 3PL partner to support ongoing effective operations.
  • Own NetSuite order fulfillment processes and work towards driving process efficiencies.
  • Own wholesale customer MOQ analyses and make internal recommendations backed by data.

Who You Are

  • Experienced ERP user (SAP, NetSuite, MS Dynamics)
  • Retail/Wholesale fulfillment experience required
  • You are able to quickly grasp new concepts, multitask, maintain focus, and adapt to a variety of challenges in a fast-paced environment; you like building game changing systems
  • You have an entrepreneurial mentality with a 'self-starter' approach
  • You are an adept problem solver who seeks creative solutions, with a consistent attention to detail

  • You have the capability to manage your workload effectively, meet deadlines, and deliver high-quality output
  • You are a highly organized and a strong communicator with demonstrated cross-functional experience
  • You are a leader and team player: ability to work and make decisions autonomously while fostering collaboration and engagement within Logistics, Operations, and broader Chomps organization to ensure alignment
  • You can handle detailed procedures in a time-constrained environment
  • You are experienced with creating SOPs and other process documentation
  • You have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • You can work independently and as part of a team
  • 3+ years of experience in 3PL fulfillment management and/or distribution management
  • In addition to being on-site at the SLC 3PL location on a weekly basis (1-2 days per week), willingness to travel up to 20% of the time to Chomps’ Chicago office and other supply chain locations.

Salary Range Opportunity:

  • The salary range for this role is $95,000 - $100,000 + 15% annual bonus

  • Our salary ranges are based on verified market data and our philosophy of paying competitively for our size and industry
  • Individual pay rate decisions are based on several factors, including qualifications for the role, experience level, skillset, and balancing internal equity relative to peers at the company
  • In addition to base salary, full-time team members receive medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401K 6% match, and monthly reimbursements for wellness and home office.
