Established in 1998 with 97 students, CCCS has steadily increased to more than 4,000 students in grades K-8 across 12 state-of-the-art buildings on four campuses. Job Summary:

To provide administrative support for assigned administrators and perform a variety of clerical, secretarial, and other administrative functions required for the operation of the school to ensure the maximum impact on educational outcomes of students.


Essential Functions:

  • Primary point of contact for all visitors to the school, ensures visitors sign in and obtain visitors badges
  • Coordinates all requests for early dismissal of students. Ensures that child release is made only to parent, guardian or other authorized adults and that these individuals complete the sign out sheets prior to release of student
  • Monitors the front door camera and admits visitors/parents to building via the front door
  • Keeps schedule for Principal/Assistant Principal
  • Assists with staff attendance. Keeps a daily attendance log of staff which is transmitted to HR and the Assistant Principal each day
  • Keys student attendance to the website only when a teacher is absent
  • Works with the Assistant Principal and the Dean and Assistant Dean of Students to ensure efficient school dismissals and may assist with bus dismissals via intercom system as needed
  • Assists in organizing and maintaining student files and records
  • Answers the phone in a prompt professional manner and assists in routing of calls to appropriate personnel and provides phone assistance if knowledgeable on the subject matter
  • Processes incoming mail by date stamping and distributing to the appropriate person
  • Types memos, letters and spreadsheets using Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Copies and distributes communications to teachers and students
  • Coordinates requests for mailing services, i.e. registered mail or package pick up with the Mail Room
  • Maintains accurate and updated employee lists as directed
  • Updates bus lists as directed by the Director of Child Accounting and Assistant Principal
  • Performs other related duties as assigned


Minimum Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED; Associates degree or higher preferred
  • Minimum 1 year of secretarial work experience, some college or business school preferred
  • Pennsylvania Criminal Record Check Clearance
  • Pennsylvania Child Abuse Clearance
  • FBI Criminal Background Clearance

Demonstrated Knowledge of:

  • Knowledge of modern office methods and procedures, filing & telephone techniques, and office equipment, as well as English usage, spelling, grammar, and punctuation.
  • Use of personal computers, specifically Microsoft Office Suite software packages
  • Maintain current working knowledge of policies and regulations necessary to answer work-related and general information questions.
