About This Role:

Cheddar is looking for an experienced associate producer with the ability to edit video to help lead in content creation for its college network, CheddarU. This position works closely with the CheddarU program manager, Cheddar editorial, graphics and social media departments in creative development and execution of new segments. The associate producer will create content for both linear and digital platforms geared towards the college audience. CheddarU broadcasts on 600 college campuses across the nation.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Produce & edit assigned videos for CheddarU content team: Create, write, and edit short-form assets.

  • Edit different versions of produced video(s), with each version optimized for linear & social platforms

  • Brainstorm with editorial and development team for topical content that fits within the brand

  • Consistently brainstorm new ideas for original CheddarU programming, able to execute in assisting produce content

  • Pitch/be on the lookout for college specific news stories and create TOS segments quickly and efficiently

  • Assist in gathering and organizing production assets from student creators

  • Research and book talent for student creator network

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher

  • Minimum of 2 years experience producing digital, social, and multiplatform content

  • Strong editorial judgement fitting within the brand ethos: Strong understanding of GenZ and millennial audience

  • Strong ability to thoroughly research & pitch content

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Must be skilled in the following editing systems:

    • PREMIERE or AVID

    • Photoshop

  • Must provide recent work samples or reel to be considered
