Our Devops team is focused on providing the world’s fastest self service deployment pipeline for Engineering using Kubernetes and golang. We open source a majority of our tools including the deployment pipeline called Codeflow. DevOps Engineers are responsible for automating and managing our deployment process, systems dashboards, and systems level troubleshooting. Checkr is a collection of small services built on Ruby and Javascript, with both SQL and NoSQL databases as well as message queues for asynchronous tasks. As we build out our architecture, we will welcome new languages and technologies to our stack. Checkr was founded by engineers for engineers; we want to create the best environment for developers to build, learn and love their work.


What a typical week may look like at Checkr

  • Working with engineering to define best practices and shared responsibilities for DevOps at Checkr
  • Define and implement next generation deployment for Checkr’s systems
  • Build out a systems dashboard to monitor key metrics
  • Deliver and maintain systems documentation for operational and compliance purposes

What we value in a DevOps Engineer

  • Experience with microservices
  • Experience with production Docker deployments
  • Strong experience in AWS
  • An undying commitment to learning and finding ways to improve things
  • Familiarity with security best practices
