Checkr is looking for an experienced Systems Software Engineer to help us build and maintain integrations with Human Resource Information Systems.
Our team’s mission is to bring Checkr’s features to a variety of customers. Our customers more and more often use Human Resource Information Systems to access Checkr. We are Checkr experts and build the best user experience in integrations. We work with developers and architects to connect complex software systems.
What a typical week may look like at Checkr:
Learn about Human Resource Information Systems and how they interact with Checkr
Building new features for Human Resource Information Systems integrations and testing them
Communicating with internal and external developers to build solutions that improve their productivity
Exposing Checkr APIs to and building sample solutions in MuleSoft Anypoint Platform
Defining requirements to grow Checkr’s public APIs to cover new and existing product features
Help identify, triage and solve bugs
What we value in a Systems Engineer:
Familiarity building and using different types of APIs, for example ReST, SOAP, gRPC
Knowledge of an object oriented programming language, preferably Ruby, Java, or Python
You have curiosity in figuring out how to deliver clean, robust and scalable code
You have experience with at least one or more of the following: CI/CD tools, microservices, infrastructure services (Publish-subscribe systems, API Gateways, RPC frameworks, high-level testing strategies), or open source software
You understand how to build reliable distributed systems and can discuss tradeoffs in depth
You are a strong communicator and can build agreement between groups of people with different levels of technical expertise
You have built and deployed code on a SaaS platform
Experience with IPaaS platform, for example MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, Dell Boomi
Academic background in computer science or equivalent (BSc or MSc)
