USQ is seeking an Analyst to join its team in New York City. The qualified candidate will support the team in virtually every aspect of its efforts—ground lease investments, business development, market research, internal processes, etc.
In this role you will:
- Work within a small, intimate team, in a fast-paced environment, to generate and execute ground lease investments.
- Conduct preliminary underwriting analysis and pre-screening of transactions to support the deal team.
- Review documents (PSA’s, ground leases, financing documents, leases, appraisals, etc.) to identify and surface potential concerns and solutions, with USQ team and external counsel.
- Help manage the due diligence process, running of financial models, deal underwriting, and financing workstreams.
- Assist in pushing various non-deal-specific workstreams forward, including business development, market research, and maintaining and improving internal models / data sources / processes.

Contributors to your success:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 1-3 years of experience
- Willingness to move to New York City
- Experience and/or knowledge of commercial real estate (CRE) finance and fixed income markets/products
- Strong writing skills with the ability to communicate complex topics effectively
- Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Ability to analyze qualitative and quantitative information
- Excellent Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills
- Ability to work with large amounts of data and understand causal relationships, attention to detail in both inputs and outputs, experience with statistical analysis and financial modeling a plus
- Self-motivated, team-oriented, with strong time management and communication skills to manage multiple projects and prioritize deadlines
- A sense of urgency and commitment to doing excellent work
- Ability to travel up to 25% for meetings
