Position Overview
Experts in CRA’s Forensic Services practice provide independent forensic expertise and data analytics capabilities in complex litigation, cyber security incident response, internal and compliance investigations, and white-collar defense matters. Companies and their legal counsel routinely call upon us to investigate a broad range of allegations, including cybercrime, financial fraud, theft of a trade secret, employee misconduct, and non-compliance. Our teams integrate expertise in data analytics, problem solving, technology, and business intelligence. They possess the skills required to ensure our work will withstand aggressive, adversarial, and/or regulatory scrutiny.
As a firm, we offer a top-notch experience for consultants: analytic rigor, project and team leadership roles, and resources to support professional growth. Associate Principal responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Assisting in the investigation of accounting irregularities and responding to allegations of fraud, misconduct, waste, abuse, and non-compliance;
- Leveraging accounting and financial concepts to help conduct analyses of financial data;
- Utilizing database skills to effectively analyze large data sets;
- Reviewing client documents, analyst reports, and third party financial, market and industry data and summarizing key issues;
- Preparing analytical analyses, such as financial models, for litigation and expert support;
- Assisting with practice-wide recruiting and training efforts;
- Acting as a primary point of contact for clients and assisting in the presentation of our findings and recommendations to clients;
- Creating and developing client deliverables, including expert reports summarizing our opinions or fact-based reports summarizing our findings;
- Ensuring the integrity and accuracy of analyses and opinions;
- Assisting with practice-wide recruiting and training efforts.
Desired Qualifications
- 7-10 years of finance or accounting work experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- CFA or CPA professional certification is beneficial but not required
- Familiar with generally accepted accounting principles, corporate governance, and regulatory environments
- Demonstrated problem solving and effective oral and written communication skills
- Rigorous organizational skills and attention to detail in all facets of work
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet timely deadlines
- Ability to travel

Work Location Flexibility
CRA creates a work environment that enables our colleagues to benefit from being together in the office to best deliver on our promise of career growth, mentorship and inclusivity. At the same time, we recognize that individuals realize a range of benefits when working from home periodically. We currently ask that individuals spend 3 to 4 days a week on average working in the office (which may include traveling to another CRA office or to a client's location), with specific days determined in coordination with your practice or team. At certain times of the year (e.g. holiday periods), additional remote work options are offered to those whose work commitments permit it, although our offices remain open for those who choose or need to be there.
