The Chan Zuckerberg Initiative was founded by Priscilla Chan and Mark Zuckerberg in 2015 to help solve some of society’s toughest challenges — from eradicating disease and improving education to addressing the needs of our local communities. AI for Science

The Chan Zuckerberg Initiative (CZI) is funding and building one of the largest computing systems dedicated to nonprofit life science research in the world. This new effort will provide the scientific community with access to predictive models of healthy and diseased cells, which will lead to groundbreaking new discoveries that could help researchers cure, prevent, or manage all diseases by the end of this century.

We’re building our AI capacity to support our interdisciplinary team of engineers, product managers, designers, computational biologists, user experience researchers, and data scientists.   • Candidates Who Have:
    • Demonstrated experience (3+ years) building and training AI/ML models to address biological or adjacent problems and developing deep learning methods
    • Demonstrated experience (3+ years) training AI/ML models for large-scale clusters of CPUs and GPUs
    • A working knowledge of Python-based ML libraries and frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, numpy, pandas, and scikit-learn
    • An interest in working with highly interactive, collaborative and cross-functional teams
    • A drive to support CZI’s mission and a passion for using technology to transform science, making it possible to help cure, prevent, or manage all diseases by the end of the century
