Shocked? Us too. That’s why we started Cerebral, a telemedicine-first mental health startup. We are breaking down the barriers to access mental healthcare so that anybody can get the care they need immediately. We provide tens of thousands of individuals across the nation with medication management, therapy, and counseling services. We launched publicly in January 2020 and are growing at over 40% month-over-month, and need your help.

About the Role

We are hiring remote psychiatric mental health nurse practitioners (PMHNP) to support our Immediate Live Visit offering. Cerebral NP's provide patient care and medication management, which includes initial consultations for depression & anxiety and follow-up visits for titration of medications, monitoring, and more.

We are looking for psychiatric mental health nurse practitioners licensed to prescribe in FIVE or more of the states we are operate in: California, Connecticut, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Maryland, Michigan, New York, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Texas, Virginia, Washington, Arizona, Massachusetts, North Carolina, New Jersey, Minnesota, Utah, Iowa, Kentucky, Washington D.C., and Wisconsin. TWO of the FIVE states must be CA and TX.

Nurse practitioners at Cerebral are paired with Care Counselors that help guide clients after their initial evaluations, and there are Psychiatrists on staff that can receive patients that need elevation of care. We are an interdisciplinary team managing the patient‘s treatment at Cerebral. We believe that our telemedicine model for psych care will be revolutionary in improving access to care in much needed geographically rural areas where it is desperately needed.


  • Licensed to prescribe in 5+ states with 2 of them being CA and TX.
  • Availability for 7 days/week, from 7am-7pm Pacific Time.
  • 6, 8, 12 hour shifts available.
  • Must be able to thrive in an often fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to complete thorough assessments in a prompt manner.
  • Comfortable with prescribing controlled substances to appropriate patients.

Must be based in the U.S. and legally authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis. We are not able to sponsor work visas at this time.
