Seeing a psychiatrist can take up to 3 months and cost as much as $500. Shocked? Us too. That’s why we started Cerebral, a telemedicine-first mental health startup. We are breaking down the barriers to access to mental healthcare so that anybody can get the care and meds they need immediately and for just $99/month. We launched publicly in January 2020 and are growing at over 40% month-over-month, and need your help.

 

The Role:

Cerebral is looking for an experienced, creative, and growth-oriented Head of Growth to help scale Cerebral’s business as the leading telemental health company in the US. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in direct-to-consumer marketing, campaign planning, testing, and optimization within a subscription business. This role can be Remote, or can work from our offices in San Francisco, CA or Dallas, TX.

 

Responsibilities:

 

1. Drive subscriber growth

  • Optimize existing channels (paid social, SEM, SEO/content) 
  • Evaluate, test and scale new channels (video, display, retargeting paid/owned/earned social media and content, direct mail, affiliate and other channels
  • Develop living, iterable roadmap for growth marketing and brand 
  • In partnership with product, drive brand consistency across all consumer touchpoints

 

2. In partnership with product and engineering, create infrastructure to support scaling and upleveling the growth function:

  • Determine marketing stack, data strategy, analytics and A/B testing requirements 

 

3. Recruit growth team and manage vendors

  • Determine hiring plan for the Growth team and recruit high-performing members
  • Determine what functions will be outsourced to 3rd-party vendors (ie. SEO, creative, SEM agencies, etc.)
  • Effectively manage your team and department through objective/goal setting, one-on-ones, budget creation and management

 

4. Uphold Cerebral cultural values

  • Be passionate about Cerebral’s mission-driven brand and vision
  • Be accountable and expect accountability from your team 
  • Be proactive in your approach and take ownership of your work

 

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of relevant professional experience, with an emphasis on digital marketing 
  • Extensive experience leading customer acquisition programs and driving growth within the B2C space
  • 3+ years of management experience
  • Experience working very closely with product, data, and engineering teams
  • Deep understanding of consumer metrics, market segmentation, conversion optimization, and general analytics
  • Self-starter: thrives on taking ownership of initiatives with limited oversight
  • Equally comfortable setting up an Adwords campaign as you are creating a marketing roadmap 
  • Outstanding communication and organization skills
  • Strong believer in Cerebral’s brand vision and values
