Founded in 2009 and headquartered in Farmington Hills, Michigan, Centria Healthcare is a leading provider of home-based catastrophic injury and rehabilitation care, private duty nursing, and supportive living services. Centria Healthcare Autism Services is the largest provider of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) across the state of Michigan, with services in other states.
Position Summary
The senior leadership role of the Vice President of Clinical Services will play a pivotal role in overseeing key performance metrics, ensuring high-quality clinical services and client progress in their region. Primary responsibilities will include providing leadership to their team of Area Directors of Clinical Services in ensuring quality care is provided across process, performance, and outcome metrics. The Vice President of Clinical Services will also serve as the highest decision-maker for escalated clinical matters and will partner with the Vice President of Operations for solutioning as needed. They will champion and lead training efforts for the region on performance improvement initiatives. The Vice President of Clinical Services will also be responsible for collaboration and evaluation with the Chief Clinical Officer on current structures, systems, and processes to identify areas for change, improvement, or value add opportunities, and will partner with Centria’s Clinical Excellence Team to improve clinical performance in alignment with our clinical and operational performance standards. Additionally, they will represent Centria Autism’s organization through payor relations at the regional level. The Vice President of Clinical Services will collaborate with the Vice President of Operations on driving growth initiatives and on escalated operational/clinical matters.
Success Measures
Success measures include adherence to Centria policies, flawless execution of tasks, a timely, positive customer service experience for team members, and a high level of compliance. Success also includes meeting or exceeding personal qualitative and quantitative key performance indicator (KPI) metrics.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Driving Client Progress
- Monitor and ensure client progress within all areas under their purview. Use internal tools to review client data, documentation, treatment plans, and related performance metrics for all clients to ensure alignment with internal performance standards, best practices, and evidence-based approaches.
- Offer comprehensive clinical case support and supervision to their Area Directors of Clinical Services by assisting with case reviews, data-based decision making, and providing clinical recommendations and solutions as needed.
- Driving Clinical Quality through Performance Management and Development
- Use internal tools to review supervision practices and other performance metrics for their team of Area Directors of Clinical Services to ensure alignment with internal performance standards, best practices, and evidence-based approaches, and Centria’s competency assessment policy.
- Evaluate and manage clinical performance of their Area Directors of Clinical Services by setting clear expectations, providing coaching and feedback, and assisting in arranging the environment to influence successful performance.
- Monitor and oversee performance standard metrics related to clinical services, including assessment denials, claims, and appeals. Provide and delegate support as necessary to ensure efficient and accurate processing.
- Provide guidance, mentorship, and professional development opportunities to their team of Area Directors of Clinical Services.
- Champion and lead training efforts for the region on performance improvement initiatives developed by the Clinical Excellence Department (CED), providing in-field support and ensuring effective implementation.
- Evaluate current structures, systems, and processes to identify areas for change and improvement, and develop and execute strategies to address areas identified for improvement
- Collaboration and Escalation Management
- Assume the role of the highest decision maker for escalated clinical matters, making critical decisions, and partnering with the Vice President of Operations as needed to address complex clinical issues.
- Identify and escalate interfering behavior and treatment concerns to the appropriate parties, ensuring prompt resolution and optimal client outcomes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to problem solve, address operational challenges, and implement process improvements that enhance clinical services and client outcomes.
- Payor Relations
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with payors at the regional level, acting as a primary clinical point of contact and representing Centria Autism Services.
- Collaborate with payors to ensure alignment and effective utilization of clinical services.
- Growth and Compliance Efforts
- Work closely with the Vice President of Operations to develop and implement strategies for driving growth, expanding service offerings, and improving operational efficiency.
- Partner with the Vice President of Operations to ensure the operations of the market are compliant in its practice and supportive of Centria’s clinical care model.
- Customer Service
- Ensure clients and parents are engaged in and completely satisfied with the services provided to them.
- Community Outreach
- Attend local and national conferences and seminars as a participant, company ambassador, and a presenter.
- Interface with payors and other external stakeholders to represent and enhance the Centria brand.

Qualifications
Education
BCBA Education Qualifications
- Master's degree or higher from an accredited university in acceptance with BACB guidelines
- Completion of 8-hour supervision course, or willing to complete within first 30 days
BCBA-D Education Qualifications
- Doctorate from an accredited university in acceptance with BACB guidelines
- Completion of 8-hour supervision course, or willing to complete within first 30 days
License/Certification
BCBA License/Certification
- BCBA certification from the BACB, in good standing
- Active state license, in good standing, when applicable
BCBA-D License/Certification
- BCBA-D certification from the BACB, in good standing

Work Experience
- 7-10 years working with children and autism spectrum disorders in a clinical supervisor capacity
- 5 or more years of experience in clinical leadership and supervision
- Crisis management experience, preferred
- Competency with implementing PFA/SBT and assent-based practices, preferred
Equipment and Technology Requirements
- Working knowledge of laptop/desktop PC
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel)
- Proficiency in G Suite (Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Google Meet)
