Role Summary

The VP Product Marketing will be a key leader in driving Censys’ market positioning and advancing its go-to-market (GTM) strategy. This role demands deep expertise in the cybersecurity domain to craft a compelling narrative for our solutions, capitalize on market trends, and ensure product marketing excellence. You will work closely with Product, Marketing, and Sales teams, forging strong cross-functional collaboration to amplify our impact. This is an opportunity to lead a high-performing team, define the future of product marketing at Censys, and deliver measurable outcomes aligned with company growth.

What You’ll Do:

  • Strategic Product Marketing Leadership:
    Develop and drive comprehensive product positioning, messaging, and marketing strategies for all Censys offerings, ensuring they resonate with our target audiences.
  • Content Excellence Across the Customer Journey:
    Lead cross-functional content strategy to deliver engaging, informative, and persuasive materials at every stage of the customer lifecycle.
  • Innovative Product Launches:
    Redefine and oversee product launch processes by collaborating with Product, Marketing, and Sales teams to ensure impactful market entry.
  • Sales Enablement:
    Equip the Sales team with tailored strategies, tools, and insights to enhance conversion rates and foster customer success.
  • Team Development:
    Lead and mentor a growing team of product marketers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous professional development.
  • Market Insights:
    Define and refine customer personas and market segmentation to guide product positioning and inform GTM strategies.
  • Performance Measurement:
    Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to quantify the impact and ROI of product marketing initiatives.
  • Cross-Functional Education:
    Act as a product marketing evangelist within the organization, ensuring alignment and understanding across teams.

What You’ll Bring:

  • 10+ years of experience in product marketing, including 4+ years in a leadership role.
  • 5+ years of experience within the cybersecurity industry, with a proven track record of understanding and addressing the unique challenges in this space.
  • Demonstrated success in driving product adoption through strategic marketing initiatives.
  • A data-driven approach with a passion for establishing measurable KPIs and achieving tangible results.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to inspire teams, present compelling narratives, and create impactful marketing collateral.
  • Collaborative leadership style with a focus on ownership, partnership, and urgency.
  • Proven ability to recruit, manage, and develop high-performing teams. 

Our target salary range for this role is between $247,000 USD and $274,000 USD + bonus eligibility and equity. This position is required to be located in one of our hub locations (Ann Arbor, Kirkland, Los Altos, or Washington D.C. and in the office on Tuesdays, Thursdays and a third day of choice.
