Censys helps discover, manage, and remediate threats in digital landscapes. We’re looking for a Solutions Engineer to join our team who is passionate about security and can contribute kindness, curiosity, and a “we can make it happen” attitude.

Solutions Engineers collaborate with many different groups within the organization, such as Sales, Customer Success, Product Management, Engineering, Marketing, and Design. Most importantly, we work with customers to understand their security challenges, workflows, and aspirations and help them understand how to leverage our products to alleviate their pain.

We need someone who has:

  1. An awesome attitude (go-getter, cooperative, consultative, considerate)
  2. Curiosity about how things work and a desire to continue learning
  3. Comfort with face-paced environments
  4. Commitment to set and achieve goals
  5. Polished presentation and communication skills
  6. Customer obsession and empathy, which has played out in some customer-facing role like consulting, support, or ideally solutions engineering
  7. An understanding of how the internet works (such as the role of servers, networking protocols, certificates, DNS, WhoIS)
  8. An understanding of cyber security and experience with with advanced security technologies/products
  9. Command Line experience
  10. Comfort with SQL, leveraging APIs, and basic scripting
  11. Threat Hunting experience is a plus

With these skills, you’ll be able to contribute to our team in the following ways:

  1. Meet with prospective customers, understand requirements, field technical questions, and demonstrate product capabilities
  2. Plan and manage product proof of concept efforts, with the hope of consulting and delighting prospective customers
  3. Drive user adoption across a variety of use cases
  4. Support the sales team in helping customers understand what they can achieve with Censys
  5. Distill and communicate customer needs and product feedback to Product Management, Engineering, Customer Success, Marketing, and Sales
  6. Laying foundations for growth (experimenting often, failing fast, defining process) in a fast-paced environment
  7. Finding new ways to help security teams confront complex visibility challenges
