Campbell Ewald’s Detroit office has an excellent opportunity available for a  Media Planner. This position will involve the planning, implementation and measurement of integrated online and offline media plans. 

The Media Planner will contribute to the planning process by assisting in the following: 

  • Strategic development and tactical execution of traditional, non-traditional and emerging media solutions 
  • Analysis and optimization of media buys 
  • Target audience analysis 
  • Competitive analysis 
  • Development of opportunistic media point-of-view documents to clients and agency teams 

The Media Planner will assume lead responsibility in the following areas: 

  • Production and maintenance of all budget reports 
  • Management of all media plans, flowcharts and associated documents including tracking of all plan changes 
  • working with colleagues to monitor campaign spending and performance." It is really a performance team member's role to do the true monitoring and optimization of their investments 
  • Providing insights for internal teams and clients when presenting recurring digital media reports 
  • Management of digital campaigns from launch (IO, creative trafficking, tagging) and working with media partners to optimize performance 
  • Timely and accurate execution of campaign launches including troubleshooting and resolving any issues with media/account teams and media vendors 
  • Maintenance of relationships with media vendors and internal teams 
  • Timely and accurate execution of all media projects to proceed according to plan and on deadline 
  • Use of media programs for planning, reporting, trafficking, and measurement purposes: MediaOcean suite of systems such as Prisma, Nielsen Clear Decisions, Kantar competitive reporting and internal and partner dashboards for which training will be provided 
  • Stay abreast of trends in online and offline media, including new and current media partners, industry trends, media landscape, and deliver team point of view documents on trends in the marketplace  
  • Maintenance and nurturing of strong, positive internal and client relationships  
  • Assist colleagues with process of creating and implementing media plans across all media channels (TV, print, digital, paid social, OOH, radio, etc.) 

A Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study is highly preferred, preferably advertising or marketing communications. 

The ideal candidate will exhibit strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to maintain internal and external agency relationships. Candidate should be proficient in Microsoft Office suite. Six months plus agency media experience highly preferred.  Knowledge of syndicated audience research, and on-line computer media systems/tools is a strong plus. Where an employee or prospective employee is paid within this range will depend on several factors including current/former employees in the position, market considerations, budgetary considerations, background, relevant experience and qualifications and location.

Salary Range
$55,000$70,000 USD
