cBEYONData is seeking are an experienced Oracle Analytics Server (OAS) Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Oracle Analytics Server, data visualization, reporting, and data analysis. In this role, you will work closely with business users to define and implement analytics solutions, leveraging the capabilities of OAS to drive insights and business decision-making. 

Responsibilities:

  • OAS Implementation and Configuration: 
    • Implement data sources and connections, including integration with Sybase databases, cloud storage, and other third-party systems. 
  • Dashboard and Report Development: 
    • Design and develop interactive dashboards, reports, and visualizations using Oracle Analytics Server.
    • Create custom reports and analyses to meet specific business requirements. 
    • Implement best practices for effective reporting and data presentation. 
  • Data Modeling and Metadata Management: 
    • Create and manage data models and metadata layers for OAS, including the configuration of subject areas, logical tables, and metrics. 
    • Ensure the consistency and quality of data by creating ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, if required. 
  • Performance Optimization: 
    • Troubleshoot and optimize OAS dashboards and queries for faster performance. 
    • Conduct performance testing and implement solutions for better load times and query responsiveness. 
  • User Support and Training: 
    • Provide end-user support for OAS-related queries and issues. 
    • Train end users and business stakeholders on best practices for using Oracle Analytics Server. 
  • Collaboration: 
    • Work with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, business analysts, and IT teams, to gather requirements and deliver insights.
    • Participate in business requirement gathering sessions to understand the needs and expectations for data analytics solutions.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Analytics, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • 3-5 years of experience in working with Oracle Analytics Server (OAS) or Oracle Business Intelligence (OBIEE). 
  • Experience in developing reports, dashboards, and visualizations using OAS or other BI tools. 
  • Strong experience with Sybase and Oracle databases (SQL, PL/SQL) and integrating data from different sources. 
  • Proficiency in Oracle Analytics Server, including report and dashboard development, and data modeling. 
  • Knowledge of data visualization best practices, including designing visually impactful and intuitive reports. 
  • Experience with database performance tuning and optimization in an OAS environment. 
  • Familiarity with cloud-based integration and hybrid environments (on-prem and cloud). 
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. 
  • Good communication skills for interacting with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • DoD Secret Clearance of higher
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
  • Preferred Qualifications:  
    • Oracle Analytics certification (e.g., Oracle Analytics Cloud, Oracle Business Intelligence). 
    • Experience in working within DoD environments. 
    • Familiarity with Oracle Data Integration tools (ODI). 
    • Knowledge of machine learning or advanced analytics in Oracle Cloud or Oracle Analytics Server.
