LEAD PLATFORM ENGINEER

What We Need:

Cat Daddy Games is looking for a Lead Platform Engineer to join our team in Kirkland, WA. As the Lead Platform Engineer, you will provide direction and leadership to the platform team in the design and implementation of some of the core technology that powers our mobile games. This includes working on various platform features and tools, optimizing performance and ensuring compatibility with a wide range of devices.

This role will be in-office on an hybrid schedule.

 

What You Will Do:

  • Design, develop, debug, and maintain iOS & Android OS platform features for the studio’s mobile game titles
  • React timely to critical product bugs to ensure our products ship on time while maintaining high quality standards
  • Lead team processes, planning, agile practices, and peer code reviews
  • Collaborate with Management and Game team members as needed, maintaining open communication to enhance development efficiency. Quickly adapting as project needs evolve.

Who We Believe Will Be a Good Fit:

  • 7+ years of Proven software development experience preferably in gaming. Mobile game development experience is a plus!
  • Prior supervisory/people management experience preferred
  • Working experience developing software on the iOS and Android platforms
  • Strong debugging skills
  • A strong communicator with proven leadership skills

Additional Desired Experience:

  • Unreal Engine experience
  • Experience with XR/AR/VR development

The pay range for this position in Washington at the start of employment is expected to be between $109,800 - $162,480 per Year. However, base pay offered is based on market location, and may vary further depending on individualized factors for job candidates, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to those same considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a bonus and/or equity awards and eligibility to participate in our 401(K) plan, in addition to a full range of medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees will also receive 14 paid holidays per calendar year, [for exempt employees are eligible for unlimited discretionary time off] [for non-exempt employees, are eligible for up to 22 days of vacation leave per year (subject to proration based on start date during the calendar year)], and will receive 10 sick days per calendar year. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
