Position Overview:

The Inventory Controller role is a great new opportunity in Catch Company that is integral to making sure we have the right products on hand for our customers. The Controller will work closely with our business units, operations, merchandising, business development and brand team to develop and refine inventory controls and will be critical to our mission to provide customers with the best shopping experience in the fishing industry.

What you will do:

  • Correctly allocate inventory between warehouse pools and locations to optimize for Catch Co strategy, minimizing out of stocks.
  • Work with other teams to get the right purchase orders cut and make sure that everything arrives in time.
  • Manage KPIs for inventory management (EX: inventory costs, turns and fill rate by category)
  • Own on-hand inventory
    • Monitor incoming inventory and report and resolve product shortages
    • Actualize and investigate inventory status changes
    • Reconcile and allocate inventory across various pools
    • Conduct monthly cycle counts with 3PL partners to ensure inventory accurcacy
  • Understand lead times and shipment options, work with vendors to schedule shipments to minimize stockout risk.
  • Identify current and projected inventory issues and collaborate with Demand Planning and Sales Channel Leads, developing best course of action for CatchCo's various product lines.
  • Provide support to the Demand Planning Manager

What experience you need:

  • 3-5 years of inventory management and/or demand forecasting experience.
  • Bachelors degree in an analytical field
  • Comfortable with large datasets and challenging assumptions.
  • Experience working with multiple teams and being able to communicate effectively.
  • Excel and Google Suite experience is a must. Experience with various ERP and WMS softwares is a bonus.
  • Experience working within an Open-to-Buy model.
  • Experience building ground up forecasting and inventory management models.
