Position Overview:

Catch Co. is looking for people who want to help rescue others from the indoors! We’re building a team of passionate, action-oriented, optimistic, honest, curious people to staff Karl’s Fishing and Outdoors - our very first retail store! Karl’s is America’s local tackle shop, and until now, it’s been online only. We need the right group of people to be part of Karl’s first-ever “real life” store. 

Beginning with Mystery Tackle Box and Biospawn Lures, The Catch Company has developed many additional brands and collaborations (Googan Squad, Biospawn, 10,000 Fish, Mike Bucca’s Baby Bull Shad, etc) and a thriving eCommerce platform (Karl’s Bait & Tackle) with thousands of products. 

Our store staff - “The VonDibbles” - will need to know either a little or a lot about fishing, and most of all be excited about helping others learn as much as they can about it. We’re creating an exceptional in-store experience, showcasing the sport of fishing and our products to both newcomers and experienced anglers alike.

We’re hiring only rockstars. This is an elevated experience, and elevated position.

You’re there to build relationships with customers and help them find the right products and to succeed on the water. You’ll have a mix of time with customers, keeping the store looking awesome, and helping with special events. This could include additional opportunities to get involved in event planning, operations, administration, and more!

We’re planning at least one event per week that could range from new product launches, to things like “learn to fly fish,” or “Mommy + Me Fishing” or events around arts & music, shoreline cleanup, influencer meet-ups, and so much more. 

Pay is $16 / hour with opportunities for advancement.

What experience you need:

  • Retail experience is welcome but not required
  • You need to be interested in fishing. The more you know about it, the more qualified you are.
  • Digital proficiency: comfort learning and operating a variety of digital tools and technologies 
  • Understanding of Catch Co. brands and products strongly preferred
  • Ability to assist customers and handle inventory efficiently, including standing for long periods of time and occasionally lifting or moving merchandise up to 25 pounds
